Rocket Launch FAQs

"I'd like to die on Mars. Just not one impact."

For optimal viewing, many head to the summit of the Max Brewer Bridge (Rt. 406) leading to Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Playalinda Beach. Any location along the Titusville riverbank offers excellent, unobstructed views. Alternatively, Port Canaveral (Rt. 528), situated over 14 miles away, is a popular spot.

Playalinda Beach provides the closest vantage point for launch viewing. Arriving at the park several hours in advance is advised, as NASA restricts incoming traffic for security reasons before a launch. If you are already within the park, you are allowed to remain for the launch spectacle.
